The Keithley 2400 is a single-channel SourceMeter source measure unit for DC component characterization. It combines a programmable voltage or current source with voltage, current, and resistance measurements in one instrument. Four-quadrant operation supports both sourcing and sinking within the model’s operating limits.

The 2400 is nominally rated at 20 W, with operating points of 200 V at 100 mA or 20 V at 1 A. Voltage and current maxima apply to different parts of the operating envelope. Continuous high-current sourcing, sink operation, and elevated ambient temperature require the derating described in the manufacturer documentation.

Local and remote sensing, guarded resistance measurements, and linear, logarithmic, or custom sweeps support leakage, diode, LED, resistor, and other I-V tests. The source-memory sequencer stores up to 100 instrument configurations, while reading buffers hold up to 5,000 readings at five digits. GPIB, RS-232, Trigger Link, and digital I/O support integration with automated test systems.

The data sheet identifies the 2400 as a legacy model. The ranges below come from the actual 2400 rows; higher-voltage and higher-current ratings elsewhere in the Series 2400 document belong to other models. Resolution values are range-dependent and do not state measurement accuracy.
